Things that really have nothing to do with us, nothing to do with reality, obsess us, possess us, rule over us and cause us to fight, to battle, to become envious, angry. “Param dåstva nivartate” we can only overcome these things when we experience something higher. That’s the real solution.
The one who has the understanding of Krishna’s greatness feels the insignificance of his love towards Krishna and also his own insignificance.
We should not consider the deity as an object of our enjoyment. We should approach the deity thinking that we are an object of His enjoyment.
Failure is not that we don't achieve what we're looking for. Failure is that we give up. We give up hope. We give up enthusiasm.
