One can understand the Supreme Personality as He is only by devotional service and when he is in full consciousness of the Supreme Lord by such devotion, he can enter into the kingdom of God. — Bhagavad Gita, 18.55.
The child cries to have toys, but one who can cry for the Lord in love is certainly successful in the line of devotional service.

Whatever devotional service we may have, we do it for seeking the shelter of the Lord, not for our mental or physical enjoyment.
