Pride is so deep, that even when we are sick, we are proud of it. We tell others about our sickness, to get their sympathy and attention. But Krishna’s devotees are humble. They never want any attention from others. They keep everyone’s attention on Krishna.
From lips, we say, “Its all Gurudeva’s mercy.” But our heart says, “It’s me, it’s me! I am so great.” “Tell me about it… what a mock show of humility.”
Humility – the utmost anxiety to attain Krishna.
Humility means that one should not be anxious to have the satisfaction of being honored by others.
In this world of Maya, which is averse to the Lord, full of trials and tribulations, only patience, humility and respect for others are our friends for Hari bhajana.
When we truly desire to become more humble, we become painfully aware of how often our actions are motivated by the desire to impress others.
