Desires

“na te vidu svartha-gati hi Vishnum” – Who don’t know the ultimate goal of life is to please Krishna, Narayana, Hari.  ‘Durashaya‘ – they have got unlimited desires to fulfill that is all durashaya, he will never satisfy himself. But the devotee is always happy & satisfied because he always desires to please Krishna.

Hankering

A vaishnava is never after any hankerings, he does not hanker for name, fame, beauty, wealth etc. A karmi always hankers for all these things and forgets Krishna.

Training

We can shape a green bamboo as we desire, but old bamboo cannot be changed. As hard as we try, it will break.  So it is better to be trained as a devotee while young.

Sincerity & Honesty

1. Blessings are already there if you follow strictly Prabhupada’s instructions andGurudeva’s instructions sincerely & honestly.

2. If one is not able to follow, one should sincerely pray to Krishna & sad-guru. They will make you able.

Revealation

Don’t jump hastly into some work. Pray to your Guru in mangala-arati time, brahma muhurta and Krishna is within your heart. He will reveal from within. You should see what is practical. That means whatever you are thinking to do, is it on the way to please yourGuru.

Result of not Hearing

1. One who doesn’t hear from Guru properly, he will not advance.

2. If a disciple doesn’t get a clear understanding of what the desire of the spiritual master is, then he becomes bewildered and he may not last long in spiritual life.

Do what Guru says

1. Don’t see what others are doing. Do what Guru says. You may not be recognised by others. But that will please Guru.

2. Bhakti means devotional service, we have to serve Krishna. What Guru says, we have to do it.

3. Prabhupada was serving Krishna even at the last movement of his life. He was translating. Service means what spiritual authority says, you do that.
