As the materialists are thinking that happiness is all in sense gratification, they don't see the happiness in serving Krishna, that's where the real happiness is achieved in much higher relationship and higher purpose. Their thought is, "Alright Dharma, ardha, kama, moksha" now we will make money, enjoy our sense gratification and at the end of life go for moksha. Howvere in devotional service, we know about prema, the prema is actually the love for Krishna. It is the highest perfection and Krishna is the highest happiness also.

All of you come here to Mayapur dham because it was Srila Prabhupada's desire, just like Daksha he arranged the sacrifice, he arranged the yajna in order to make the people of universe happy and in order to give them a chance for liberation. Similarly Srila Prabhupada who is our foundational siksha guru, founder acharya, wants the welfare of all the devotees in ISKCON so he arranged this festival, the mayapur festival in order to give the unlimited mercy and super happiness by awakening our transcendental happiness.

When Lord Caitanya came, He didn't come with weapons of violence, but He came with weapons of love, His personal beauty, His Humility, mridangas, kartals, His devotees. Weapons of love to win over the conditioned soul.

Prayer is a very important activity we have, it is a private talk between the devotee and the Lord. Akrura simply attained perfection by praying. In skanda-purana the glories of prayers is mentioned "A devotees whose tongue are decorated always with prayers is greatly respected even by saintly persons and such devotees are worship-able by demigods." It also helps us to establish our personal relationship with Krishna. because we are praying to Him, as that is our communication with the Lord.

Sometime because of the mercy of the Lord, the holy abode or the kirtan, everybody may feel some ecstasy, but then after the kirtan is over, after the narration is over, then mind goes back down to some lower level. However, if you like the mind to always remain in the ecstatic level, then we have to get purified. So we need to have a determination to go on with the process, no matter what.

The ability to purify one's sin varies from one holy place to other. Bhakti Vinod Thakur explained that Navadvipa dham of all holy place is increasing its strength day by day in this age of Kali-yuga. The Lord Nityananda, Lord Caitanya and Balarama visited all the holy places and acted as a filter. In this way the holy places got relieved of the accumulated sins. Similarly the Great devotees when they visit the holy place they can purify the holy place by their potency of preaching and carrying Krishna in their heart, by their potency of their connection to Krishna they can neutralise karma.
