In the modern Krishna consciousness movement we don't hear much being said about Prabhupada's desire to have alternative societies; rather, we are very busy becoming part of the modern society, because we are dictated to by the economics of the modern society, in that we rely on the donations of people who are dedicated to the misguided concept of life, so we may be afraid to tell them clearly that this way of life is not good for you.

Actually, we can summarize the essence of Krishna consciousness knowledge in a few sentences. "We are not these bodies" is the first thing. We are not these bodies; we are eternal spirit souls. We are eternal servants of Krishna, who is the Supreme Soul. Therefore, for our benefit we should simply serve Krishna by chanting the maha-mantra. This is the most important process in this age.”
