One who seeks shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Krishna, is immediately protected by the Lord. As the Lord promises in Bhagavad Gita (18.66), aham tvaam sarva-paapebhyo mokshayisyaami maa sucah : “ I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear.” By taking shelter of Lord Krishna, one comes under the safest protection.
The Supreme Personality of Godhead is the only shelter of everyone. Anyone desiring to be protected by others is certainly a great fool who desires to cross the sea by holding the tail of a dog.
One is immediately freed from the clutches of maya if he seriously and sincerely says, “My dear Lord Krishna, although I have forgotten You for so many long years in the material world, today I am surrendering unto You. I am Your sincere and serious servant. Please engage me in Your service.”
The Lord is everyone’s friend, but He is especially friendly to the surrendered soul. The simple process, therefore, is that a conditioned soul should remain surrendered to the Lord and the Lord will give him all protection to keep him out of the clutches of material contamination.
