One who chants the holy name of the Lord is immediately freed from the reactions of unlimited sins, even if he chants indirectly [to indicate something else], jokingly, for musical entertainment, or even neglectfully. This is accepted by all the learned scholars of the scriptures.
Srimad Bhagavatam 6.2.14,
This is the symptom of a pure devotee. One should serve the spiritual master first. It is not that one should bypass the spiritual master and desire to serve the Supreme Lord. This is not the principle for a Vaishnava.
Everything that exists emanates from the Lord.
All sins are destroyed and all good fortune is created by the Supreme Lord’s qualities, activities and appearances and words that describe them animate, beautify, and purify the world. On the other hand, words bereft of His glories are like the decorations on a corpse.
