If Prabhupada Would Not Have Been There:

Maybe even the Hindus would not have been celebrating Janmastami if it were not for Srila Prabhupada's preaching. Certainly they wouldn't have understood its real significance if not for Prabhupada.

Parampara in India

The parampara for genuine spiritual teaching in India has, to a large extent, closed down.

Srila Prabhupada

Srila Prabhupada wasn't one of these vague "be nice" gurus of modern times. He made it clear that Krishna consciousness is not a branch of Hinduism, but the dharma of the jiva.

Subject matter of Srimad Bhagavatam

So here has been described the activities of the brahmanas, ksatriyas, vaisyas and sudras, as it relates to the Personality of Godhead. This is sambandha- jnana. What We Are Doing?

Instead of dancing to Krishna's flute, we are dancing to the tune of Maya.

Knowledge Given in Srimad Bhagavatam

Krishna is everywhere, Krishna is in everything. Srimad-Bhagavatam gives us that knowledge by which we can see Krishna everywhere and in everything, and understand where we are now and where we have to move to, by a scientific process — scientific process in the sense that if we follow the stipulations, then we get the result; and if we don't, we don't get the result. If we chant the holy names of Krishna without offenses, niraparadhe nama laile paye prema-dhana, then we attain love of Krishna; and if we don't — if we chant the names of Krishna with offenses-then, bahu janma kare jadi sravana-kirtana tabahu napaye Krishna-pade prema-dhana: even if we supposedly chant the names of Krishna for many lifetimes, we won't attain love of Krishna.

Arrangements By Krishna

Krishna arranges everything in this material world in the most wonderful manner that it reflects the spiritual world but at the same time accommodates people who are not in the consciousness of the spiritual world. So people with similar mentalities and proclivities are placed in similar situations (in a varnasrama society).

Acting in Different Ways According to One’s Mentality

Everyone sees the world in a different way according to his mentality. If a brahminically inclined person goes to a forest he will think, "This is a nice place to sit and chant Hare Krishna and meditate on Krishna." If a ksatriya goes, he will think, "We have to go on hunting, killing the wild animals who are disturbing the rsis." If a vaisya goes he thinks how to purchase the forest, sell the timber, make profit, then clear the land, make the condominium." If a sudra goes, he will think, "I will bring my girlfriend here and we will enjoy." And if a devotee goes, he sees Krishna.
