Kirtan means glorifying the Lord in different ways. Kirtan is not only singing. Apply whatever knowledge you have in service of the Lord. If not, then it is maya. This is the difference between a karmi and bhakti.
Krishna’s Pleasure
Whatever you do, eat, tapasya, should be done for Krishna’s pleasure.
Busy
Remaining busy is good. Then negative thoughts will not come. Then material nature will not touch you and wonderful things will come.
Using Everything
Since everything belongs to the Lord, everything must be used in the service of the Lord.
