Self Proclaimed Experts
Caught in the grip of ignorance, self proclaimed experts consider themselves learned authorities. Befooled, they wander about this world engaging in arguments and counterarguments, like the blind leading the blind.

The bestial civilization of eating, sleeping, fearing and sense-gratifying has misled modern man into forgetting how powerful a soul he is. The soul is a spiritual spark many, many times more illuminating, dazzling and powerful than the sun, moon, or electricity. Human life is spoiled when man does not realize his real identity with his soul.
The leaders of society, despite all their materialistic plans, are the misleaders, for they have no plan to revive our lost relationship with the lord.
This protection is offered to a devotee even from the very beginning of his devotional service. Kaunteya pratijanihi na me bhaktah pranasyati (Bhagavad Gita 9.31). If one simply begins devotional service, he is immediately protected by the Supreme Personality of Godhead. This is also confirmed in Bhagavad Gita (18.66) : aham tvam sarva papebhyo moksayisyami. Protection begins immediately. The Lord is so kind and merciful that He gives the devotee proper guidance and all protection, and thus the devotee very peacefully makes solid progress in Krishna Consciousness without outward disturbances. A serpent may be very angry and ready to bite, but the furious snake is helpless when faced by a blazing fire in the forest. Although an enemy of a devotee may be very strong, he is compared to an angry serpent before the fire of devotional service.
Krishna’s mercy is always there. It is your misuse of free will. You are given the opportunity – that is fortune. However you do not accept the fortune. That is your misfortune.
Krishna takes a special appreciation for His devotees who are engaged in risking for His preaching work and He will give you special care and guidance at all times because you are sincerely trying to serve Him in this way.
When there is suffering given by Krishna, a devotee does not take seriously suffering. A devotee thinks, “It is the favour of Krishna that He has put me into suffering.” They never see suffering as suffering. It is favour of Krishna. That is a devotee’s vision. It is exactly like a son who knows his father well. If the father slaps, the son never protests. He knows that “It is good for me.” Similarly, a devotee is never disturbed when there is suffering given by Krishna.
Although the motive (of a devotee) might be impure, the Lord does not consider the motive; He is concerned with the service. However if a devotee has a particular motive, the Lord directly or indirectly knows it and therefore, He does not leave the devotee’s material desire unfulfilled. These are some of the special favours by the Lord to a devotee.
In the preliminary phase of spiritual life there are different kinds of austerities, penances and similar processes for attaining self-realization. However, even if an executor of these processes is without any material desire, he still cannot achieve devotional service and aspiring by oneself alone to achieve devotional service is also not very hopeful, because Krishna does not agree to award devotional service to merely anyone. Krishna can easily offer a person material happiness or even liberation, but He does not agree very easily to award a person engagement in His devotional service. Devotional service can in fact be attained only through the mercy of a pure devotee.
It is the causeless mercy of the Supreme Lord that He always tries to bring us back home, back to Godhead. God is liberated and He tries to make us liberated, but although He is constantly trying, we refuse to accept His instructions. Nonetheless, He has not become angry.
