No one should be allowed to sit on the vyasasana who is not spotless in character and who is not freed from the above-mentioned vices. He not only should be freed from all such vices, but must also be well versed in all revealed scriptures or in the Vedas.
The spiritual master's order should be taken as the prime duty of life. If one gets a bona fide spiritual master and acts according to his direction, then his perfection of life in Krishna Consciousness is guaranteed.
Only to the one who is engaged in pure devotional service under proper guidance is Lord Krishna revealed.
By the slow process of devotional service, under the guidance of the bona fide spiritual master, one can attain the highest stage.
One should act very diligently, under the expert guidance of a devotee of Lord Krishna, or under the direct instructions of Lord Krishna Himself (under whom Arjuna had the opportunity to work). Nothing should be performed for sense gratification.
A devotee should always aspire to engage in the service of advanced devotees.
A living entity in the forest of the material world tries to give up the association of these so called yogis, svamis and incarnations and come to the association of real devotees, but due to misfortune he cannot follow the instructions of the spiritual master or advanced devotees. Therefore he gives up their company and again returns to the association of monkeys who are simply interested in sense gratification and women.
One can attain the path of liberation from material bondage only by rendering service to highly advanced spiritual personalities.
The cultivation of Krishna Consciousness is possible where great devotees live together and constantly engage in hearing and chanting the glories of the Lord.
Simply by the association of pure devotees one can understand the transcendental name, fame, quality and activities of the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
