Advancement of A Second Class Devotee

The second-class devotee, even though he cannot support his position with sastric reference, can gradually become a first-class devotee by studying the sastras and associating with a first-class devotee. However, if the second-class devotee does not advance himself by associating with a first-class devotee, he makes no progress.

Controlling The Mind

Mind is seat of senses, to control mind is very important aspect. We need to understand our duty to train our mind. We need to discriminate and we need to chastise the mind sometimes, we need to distinguish what is bhakti and maya.

Tolerance

A Vaisnava is personally tolerant for the benefit of others.  When he does not show his prowess, this does not mean that he is lacking in strength ; rather, it indicates that he is tolerant for the welfare of the entire human society.

Perfection of Life

One has to continue chanting the Hare Krishna mantra and preaching the chanting of this mantra because such preaching and chanting constitute the perfection of life.
Purport on Srimad Bhagavatam 4.24.67

Be Careful With Your Mind

As we know, the mind can be our friend or enemy. Here is a thought to ponder in this regard. “Be careful how you are talking to yourself because you are listening.”

Benefits of Association

In Chaitanya Caritamrta Lord Caitanya says that sadhu-sanga, the association of a great saintly person, is very important, because even if one is not advanced in knowledge, simply by association with a great saintly person one can immediately make considerable advancement in spiritual life.

Becoming Visionary Leaders

If we want to be visionary leaders, we must, of course, learn to recognize them and support them. Visionary leaders have great qualities, which they develop through their interest in values, intuition and partnership with others. They can bring spiritual culture to our religious and political lives. Mahatma Gandhi once said, “I must first be the change I want to see in my world.” A visionary leader knows he must lead by example, and that his leadership will have a powerful impact on both present and future generations.
