As long as our consciousness is materialistic, there is no room for joy. However on the spiritual platform three things automatically happen: eternity, knowledge and bliss.
Pleasing the Lord
There may be unlimited reasons for us to argue and not co-operate but there is one sufficient reason for us to love and co-operate, that is, it is pleasing to God.

Who Would Dare to Walk in Front of Him?
Whenever a dignitary such as Srila Prabhupada would walk, who would dare to walk in front of him? A leader’s role is to set an example to lead others, and a true leader is shown respect befitting his position.
Formula for Purity
To do devotional service, to chant attentively, one has to be pure in mind. To be pure in mind, one has to be pure in action. To be pure in action, one has to be pure in what he eats and with whom he associates.
