Just as a father gives some playthings to the crying child to satisfy him, the whole material creation is made possible by the will of the Lord to allow the dewildered living entities to lord it over things as they desire.
A devotee is surrendered to whatever Krishna wants. If Krishna wants him to take birth again, he will take, but he prays to remain in the association of devotees.
As far as the conditioned soul is concerned, there is no wonder that he has some sinful activities in his past life, this should be admitted and confessed before the Lord. As soon as this is done, the Lord excuses the sincere devotee. But that does not mean that one should take advantage of the Lord’s causeless mercy and expect to be excused over and over again while he commits the same sinful activities. – The Nectar of Devotion, Page 81.
To the degree we cultivate the spirit of selfless service, to that degree we’ll actually find bliss in life.
